Hi,I found your videos today and have been watching them for hours. :) You talk a lot about your religion and how it affects your identity and i was just wondering if you have ever read the Qur'an and/or any intelligent criticism of religion (e.g. Christopher Hitchens)? I am an atheist but definitely not a hater and was wondering how well educated (for lack of a better term) you are about your faith?

Hello, thank you for your questions. First and foremost, I don’t ever want you to feel that you have to tip-toe around me when asking me questions about my faith, I am perfectly comfortable with that.

Secondly, I have read the whole quran quite a few times in arabic. I have also read some of it translated in english. Furthermore, when I feel that there’s something I’m not sure about I always make a point to research it both in the Quran and in Hadith, and I also attempt to measure the credibility of the hadith I find. Lastly, I make a point to question everything I am unsure of, and will speak to my friends and family about those points of uncertainty, discussions can last for hours, and I usually find them extremely helpful.

I’d also like to add that although I have never exactly sat down and read something by Christopher Hitchens, I am very familiar with similar point of views of these thinkers.

Hi! I know this is a maybe a weird question to ask, but how do you style your hair? I'm also Muslim and I live in London haha, but I'm Somali and I have the exact same hair type as you though mine is a little bit longer so it would be helpful. Umm this is kind of long, but yeah your hair is very beautiful and I was just wondering how you style it :)

Honestly, I don’t do much to it. I use normal shampoo and conditioner. But after I get out of the shower I use something called “Paul Mitchell” leave in conditioner, and then use a blow drier and defuser to dry it.

I guess you can say some of my extended family might feel a bit uncomfortable with my liberal views, but that’s just because they’ve lived in the middle east for their whole lives and can be a bit intimidated by change: even if it’s a good thing.

However, I’m lucky to have such open minded and supportive parents. They encourage me to be myself and follow my dreams. They help guide me and give me advice when I feel lost. Both Mama and Baba have always believed in me, and I know they just want me to be happy.

I know that there are people out there who believe I’m not, but they don’t have the authority to make those kind of statements. So really I just feel sorry for them. It must be hard living in a world where you feel so much hate towards so many people.
